Cosplay profile – Mr. J’s Puddin Pop – Kingman, AZ
By Cody Robbins

Mr. J’s Puddin Pop made her cosplay debut at Phoenix Comic-Con 2015, that is if you don’t count a Gamestop Expo.
Almost one year into her costume antics, the newly crowned mother has a fast growing fan base by creating and embodying the characters she loves.
When asked what her favorite cosplay is she said,” Harley Quinn of course, her personality is so fun and I love getting into character!”
Now, no doubt – if you view her page – you’ll see that she is more than the devious innocence of a mad man’s mind, as she also portrays a very wide array of personalities,
“Ariel is another fav because I love kids and I love watching their eyes light up when they talk to me.” She says.

Like many cosplayers her list of personas grow with each convention. When asked about her future plans she reveals “I want to do a classic Spider-Woman, Zero Suit Samus, Mermaid and I want to start building an armored Harley Quinn. And the list goes on.” With her connection to Harley Quinn I asked if she was excited to see her leading persona in the upcoming DC movie Suicide Squad, in theaters the beginning of August, she replied, “I am but I’m also trying to not get my hopes up. I don’t want to be disappointed lol. I don’t care for Harley’s new look and the rumors about the plot are not so good. I’m just gonna see it with no expectations and hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised.”

Cosplay’s growing popularity has become a new artistic exploration in an ever expanding geekcenteic universe.
Folks like Mr. J’s Puddin Pop are heroes to fans everywhere and as she says¬†“Always remember that cosplay is about having fun and showing love for these fictional characters!”
